McQ's BAKER'S DOZEN 1968

SONG OF THE YEAR

1. Sympathy For The Devil - The Rolling Stones:  If not the best song The Rolling Stones ever recorded, then certainly one of the coolest, Sympathy For The Devil, with its awesome voodoo bongos and those unforgettable "Ooh Ooh" backing vocals heralded the band's break from pure blues into a sound more completely there own, and kicked off one of the most impressive runs of consecutive classic albums in rock 'n' roll history.

Here's a very amusing video of a truncated, lip-synced performance of the song on the Robert Frost Show.
